1What is the refund policy for CASI Academy?
CASI Service subscriptions may be cancelled within seven (7) days upon subscription, and before the start of the course or scheduling a CASI examination. Nevertheless, the refunded amount will still be subject to an admin fee, as well as other relevant charges that may be imposed by the financial service provider.
Certification1
1How do I earn a CASI Academy certificate?
We offer various certification plans for businesses and individuals.
- Certificate of Participation – awarded upon completion of introductory modules and the mock exam.
- Certificate in Sustainable Finance, Certificate in Sustainable Investing, Certificate in Sustainable Finance and Investing – awarded upon completion of the courses and modules prescribed by CASI under respective certification plans, and passing the required exam. Should the candidate complete the learning journey, but did not pass the exam, a Certificate of Participation will be issued.
Course Structure2
1How many levels or modules are available?
CASI Academy curriculum is organized into three (3) levels:
•Level 1 - Foundation (fundamental, conceptual knowledge, frameworks)
•Level 2 - Intermediate (practical tools, models, methodology, case studies)
•Level 3 - Advanced (on-the-job simulation, practical application)
There are 47 modules (as of September 2025).

1Who should enroll in CASI Academy?
CASI Academy caters to a diverse range of audiences - ranging from finance professionals, regulators, policymakers to financial institutions, corporates, consultants, service providers, education institutions and students, who seeks to build practical skills in areas such as sustainable financial products, carbon markets, climate risk management, sustainability disclosure, ESG investing and related topics.
No prior experience in sustainable finance is required for foundational courses.
2What is CASI Academy?
CASI Academy is the online learning platform of the Capacity-building Alliance of Sustainable Investment (CASI) – offering self-paced modules, examinations and professional certification in sustainable finance and investment.
CASI is an initiative hosted by the Sprinkles (HK) Charity Foundation and the Institute of Finance and Sustainability (IFS).
